The term "Nisseno" describes an Italian citizen native of Caltanissetta, city of “Feudal” origin located in the center of Sicily, in southern Italy.
This is the place where Giuseppe Pietro (aka.Peppino) Scalia lived most of his life and inspired this breeding. |

At present, the selection "Del Feudo Nisseno" is based in California where Peppino's son, Pierluigi, resides working in the field of cancer research in the Los Angeles county area.

Pierluigi shared with his father Peppino the passion for the Neapolitan Mastiff since the age of five. After his father’s death in 1990, Pierluigi has always remained close to the breed and his selection in Southern Italy, collaborating with eminent italian breeders and owning subjects of high show quality.
